Field Trip to The Fire Station.
Field Trip
Concept of Activity:- Field trips provide students with experiential learning opportunities by connecting classroom learning to the real world. The students of class 5 went on a field trip to Udumalpet Fire Station on February 15,2024. The objective of this field trip was to create awareness about the importance of community helpers in our lives. Seeing them interact with the firemen and learn how they come together as a team to fight tough situations was a delight.
At the fire station, students were exposed to different techniques to extinguish the fire.
The students were briefed about and were also shown the different types of extinguishers and other tools used by the firefighters. They also saw the fire engine, the ladder used to reach heights, and how water is sprayed through the hose pipe to put off the fire. It was indeed an immense learning and fun experience for the students.
